This is essentially introductory, a sampling of the modes of expression that will be encountered throughout the book. Some attention is given to the earlier developmental stages, which are of course, critical to each person's maturation. The focus however is upon the two specific maturational stages, midlife and aging, which are scrutinized throughout the book, always against the backdrop of each individual's circumstances and growth.
